Maps and Navigation Apps in Brazil: Q4 2024 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the Maps and Navigation app sector in Brazil experienced notable trends across the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride saw a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 388K in early December. However, a slight decline was observed towards the end of the quarter, closing at around 321K. The app maintained a robust weekly active user base, starting at about 25M and ending the quarter with approximately 21M.

99: Rides, Food, Pay experienced a consistent rise in weekly downloads, with numbers reaching up to 360K in early December. The app's active user count also demonstrated growth, peaking at about 38M before a drop to 29M towards the end of December.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed a steady increase in downloads, culminating in approximately 299K by the end of December. The active user base followed a similar upward trend, reaching around 26M at its peak mid-quarter.

inDrive. Rides with fair fares maintained a stable download rate throughout the quarter, peaking at about 139K in early December. Active users fluctuated slightly but closed the quarter at approximately 2.7M.

Moovit: Your Transit Tracker experienced a downward trend in both downloads and active users towards the end of the quarter. Downloads dropped to about 94K, while active users decreased significantly to approximately 5.1M.
